"Luxurious hotel with an impressive setting, without the expected price tag!"

This empressive building has a beautiful rural setting. Our studio room was well appointed and it was so nice to have comfy chairs to sit in if non working at the desk-bound. The evening meal was delicious with interesting spices and beautifully presented. We stayed for concern in the area so did not have time to make the most of the facilities, but would definitely like to come back once more.

We recently stayed in one of the studio rooms here and it was a great experience. The rooms are clean and well presented (if a little dated). The hotel is located close to several areas inside almost a twenty minute drive to local beaches and Tenby. The hotel itself is situated in a very beautiful office of the canton and right next to the ruins of Lamphey Hall which you tin wander effectually also. The Spa was lovely, with free use of the pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi with a good array of additional treatments available for a decent cost. The breakfasts were very expert with a decent amount of pick. The staff were besides very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be looking to stay once more before long.

Stayed for one night while exploring the surrounding area. First impressions were good - a beautiful country house hotel in a peaceful rural setting. Unfortunately the car park isn't particularly big. Don't be last to go far in a large auto! Having eaten elsewhere we didn't experience either dinner or breakfast (an extra £12 each) at the hotel so can't comment on the restaurant. Our room (4) on the offset flooring of the principal building was accessed by a yard staircase. At that place are no lifts. The room itself was generously proportioned with a seating area and a large bathroom. Some have commented that the decor is dated, simply I think it befits a building of this age and character and was at least comfortable and of good quality. There were a few pocket-size cleaning and maintenance issues, notably a dusty chandelier and the extractor fan in the bathroom sounded similar an idling tractor - very loud! Overall no issues experienced and a practiced, peaceful night's sleep. Specially grateful to the helpful lady on checkout who took time to escort my partner to a step free exit from the edifice every bit nosotros departed. At the time of writing the hotel website still contains prominent notices about various Covid-19 restrictions that - thankfully - no longer appear to be current. This almost deterred us from booking, and then might be an idea to keep the guidelines upwards to appointment. I would add that we felt perfectly safe throughout our stay.
"Excellent hotel merely we could only use one of 4 nights booked and paid for due to Managers total intransigence"

A week before our visit my husband heard that the awaited cancer surgery he needed was going to be during the booked visit to the hotel and we could just stay ane of the 4 nights booked. We asked if nosotros could bring forward the visit past one day and have two nights then if we could use the other a few weeks later. The member of staff was very helpful and said we could but the manager point blankly said no. We offered the other iii nights to our family and our grandsons married woman agreed to bring her daughter and her mother. Although we were pleased she could use the other 3nights we were bitterly disappointed as having not been away for a few years because of illness and covid we were and so looking forward to the break.

This was a very pleasant stay just the hotel is tired and needs a revamp. The dinner card never inverse so we went out to eat. The bedrooms were spacious merely dreary but the bed was very comfortable and there was always plenty of hot water The spa was modern and well kept altho a treatment was cancelled without an explanation
"Paying for 3* amenities and experience within a 4* Venue. Accounting for removal of sickness following dinner."

Throughout visit, staff were warm, welcoming, and friendly. The Venue itself is gorgeous and historic with many of its features. Payed for the dine, b&b in a superior king room. Was disappointed with the room, seemed to be a standard at best with the bed a double that wasn't comfy withal the period features and large bathroom could make upwards for this. The nutrient itself was tasty and in good portions with the service being quick and friendly. The bar is a little overpriced at 15 for ii singles with mixers. Unfortunately, I take been unwell the night of and the past two days possibly equally a result of the food. Hot breakfast was average at best but would definitively speak highly on the continental. Utilised the spa although no treatments were bachelor. Prebooking definitely recommended although cannot see the availability online unless you take an membership business relationship. Spa number not answered on 3/four attempts prior however proficient response rate on email. But was not able to book treatment. Nooone on desks to inquire about robes and then had to utilize the towels provided. For a 3hr trip to spa noticed i staff member who reported she was not working on the desk-bound. Pool was common cold therefore spent most fourth dimension in the jacuzzi and steam/hot rooms added to the lack of robes. Irresolute facilities pocket-sized with unclean floors. Disappointed equally this was the primary reason for choosing this hotel. Overall Paying for three* amenities and experience within a 4* Venue.
"Fabled location and lovely staff but food appalling!"

I booked a 2 night mini pause for myself so that I could explore some of Pembrokeshire's outstanding countryside. The hotel has an incredible outlook, set but next to Bishop's Palace. Inside it is quite dated, just I plant it to be clean. All of the staff from reception to housekeeping staff and waiting staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room itself was dated, but make clean and the enormous bath was vivid! I tried out the Spa - again - clean etc, but the h2o was rather common cold and poolside was also cold - which meant that I wasn't able to hang around on the loungers for more than a few minutes - which I would have liked to have done. The negative virtually my stay was the bloodcurdling nutrient. Information technology was and so bad, that I would not visit once more, nor would I recommend it sadly. The first evening I decided on a beef burger (what can go wrong?). It was a chewy item which tasted like packet/frozen object with overcooked bacon and slightly burnt cheese. I was disappointed only didn't mutter - but wondered how on Earth the hotel could justify the cost of it? The next evening, I had decided to eat elsewhere but in the cease, I was too tired so I decided to give the eatery another try. I wish I hadn't! I chose Thai style sea bass with fragrant rice. This dish arrived. Straight away it was obvious that the fish had been reheated - the flesh was hard and the taste was atrocious. I'm not sure what the Thai chemical element actually was - only it wasn't served with 'fragrant' rice as I know it. I think they had emptied a microwaveable Tesco pilau rice into the basin. There was water at the bottom - not sauce - water. At the side some grated carrot. I was really really upset that the repast was so poor and left the restaurant. The serving staff were sympathetic and I wasn't charged for the dinner. I don't know what kind of experience/qualifications the chef has - or even that he or she are actually chefs - but they must have known that what they were serving was seriously bad. I felt ill all evening. If something is done almost the quality of nutrient, information technology would also be adept to consider the quality of the coffee served at breakfast. It is watery and unpleasant with a vague tinge of java flavour. Coffee is massive at the moment - and many many people now have great coffee makers at home - I accept. This tendency should be recognised in the hotel and definitely improved.
